Never Again

Looking deep into his expressive eyes,
she peers through them into his very soul,
Feeling a passion she thought had died when they had gone their separate ways.
As he smiled and winked, her heart melted,
her legs grew weak and her pulse raced wildly.
Then he leaned over her, stared into her eyes and kissed her with a passion equal to her own.
From that moment on, there was no turning back:
Her only thought was of loving him once more.
She knew what a risk they were taking,
but none of that seemed to matter.
It was only when she found herself alone again that reality began to trickle through the dream:
No matter how much she loved him,
she could never change the way things were
And he would never belong to her again.
