Shattered

Once she was whole--
The perfect creature He intended her to be.
She was loving, trusting, caring
And she opened her life and heart to everyone.

But then there were rules--
Man-made limits stifled who she was meant to be.
Things she couldn't say or do, ways she couldn't behave:
Broken trust and an oft-broken heart.

Now she's shattered--
Little more than a shell of the one she longs to be.
Cynical, hurting, needing, wanting to be whole again,
But closing the world out of her heart and her life.
