Wrote this off the top of my head, apropos of nothing at the time. Eventually used it in 1989 to announcement my second pregnancy to family and friends, while we were living in Germany.

We'll fill your room with teddy bears,

Find a comfortable rocking chair;

Add the bed where you will sleep

While guardian angels their vigil keep.

We're so happy at the thought of you--

The life we've created, precious and new.

The months ahead hold anticipation and joy

As we await the birth of our little girl or boy.
