What he said:
I love you
I'm in it for the long haul
I'm willing to wait for you, as long as it takes
I'd give up everything to be with you
Forever and beyond
What he meant:
I want you
I'm in it for as long as it's convenient for me
I'm willing to wait until I decide not to wait any more
I'll give you up to keep everything I have
Till the going gets tough.
Even though her head knew exactly what he meant,
I love you

Two years since we agreed to be honest
Two years since we spoke what was on our minds
Two years since you first gave me butterflies
