OMG....I really did it!

Well, folks, believe it or not, I'm now a PUBLISHED POET....there's an honest to goodness book with a wide selection of my poetry, available for purchase now on amazon.com. First Published Poem

This was written for the senior band members of Gallia Academy High School, graduating class of 1976, and published in our school newspaper under a picture of them.

Goodbye

We're really gonna miss you;

you've given us so much.

There is something in your smile--

yes, you've got that magic touch.

It makes us sad to think

you'll soon be gone for good,

But we're certain you'll remember us,

or at least you should.

If you ever need a friend,

remember we're still here;

The ones you used to tease a lot,

the ones you held so dear.

If Fate should ever move us on,

whether near or far,

We will always still be friends,

no matter where we are.

If only there could be a way

for us to let you know

Just how much we really need you;

wish you didn't have to go.

Now the time has come

and we're trying not to cry;

Time to say the word we dread--

that awful word--
