Sunshine

Your entrance into my life

Brought the sunshine I'd missed

And helped change my life for the better.

Now I feel like a brand new woman--

The lady I'd always wanted to be.

You see so much in me I thought was lost.

How can I ever repay you?

Just know that, for all your life, I'll be at your side.

On The Beach

On the soft golden sand of the water's edge I stand,

Nearly lost in my thoughts.

With the warmth of the sun at my back

And the cool ocean breeze in my face,

My attention is drawn to a small brown shape

Being pushed to shore by the mighty waves.

As it finally lands on the golden beach,

I run to discover what it could be.

Looking up at me with sad brown eyes full of fear

Is a baby seal, so far from home.
